Welcome to
the online office of your county judge.
Harris County is a remarkable place to live, an exceptional
place to work, and an ideal community in which to raise a
family. As your county judge, I work closely with the other
members of Commissioners Court to serve you by setting an
example of leadership, accountability, financial discipline
and solid performance throughout county government.
I am optimistic about our future,
with good reason. Growth is a product of success, and
we have become a gathering place for those who seek
opportunity. Our region's population is expected to
double by the year 2025, with more than 200,000 new
residents calling us home each year.
It is a challenge for which we
are ready.
In every respect, Harris County
is improving your quality of life today and protecting
it for tomorrow. Fiscal responsibility is the key to
serving nearly 4 million residents spread over 1,700
square miles. County services include road and bridge
construction, health care, housing, social services,
law enforcement, courts, juvenile and adult justice
programs, homeland security, economic development,
a library system, parks, and flood control. And when
needed, the Harris County Office of Homeland Security
and Emergency Management is ready to meet whatever
circumstances arise.
